Wildfire burns 130 acres in Juneau County

Local, state, and national guard members battled a wildfire that forced the temporary evacuation of homes in a part of Juneau County on Monday.
Named the Warthog Fire, the Wisconsin DNR said it was one of two fires in state.
The Juneau County fire burned approximately 130 acres after it began late Monday afternoon.
The burned area contained pine trees and marsh grass.
No structures burned nor was anyone injured.
An estimated 40 homes were evacuated in the area around the fire. Residents returned Monday evening.
According to the DNR, 11 engines, six tractor plows, two air attack planes and two Wisconsin Army National Guard Blackhawk helicopters worked on the fire. Local fire departments and law enforcement helped with the evacuations.
The DNR is still looking into a cause for the fire.
A wildfire in Burnett County in northern Wisconsin burned an estimated 60 acres and destroyed one structure before being brought under control.
A combination of weather factors such as low relative humidity and warm temperatures created dangerous conditions for wildfires.
Similar conditions in much of Minnesota has fueled three large wildfires in the northern part of the state that’s burned more than 20,000 acres as of Tuesday afternoon.
Red flag warnings are out for a majority of the state because of the weather.
