Tomah man sentenced for child sex crimes

A Tomah man gets 17 years in prison after his conviction on charges related to child sex crimes two years ago.

Monroe County District Attorney Kevin Croninger said 23-year-old Daimon Verken also received 23 years of extended supervision following his release from prison.

Verken was also placed on the sex offender registry for life.

On May 8, he pleaded guilty to charges including sexual assault of a child, sexual exploitation of a child, and using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime.

Tomah Police investigators built the case against Verken regarding the offenses against four juveniles that happened between January and July 2023.
