After Wisconsin’s $100 million election, American Promise’s Jeff Clements talks how to solve money-in-politics issue

American Promise co-founder Jeff Clements joined WIZM’s La Crosse Talk to help preview a community conversation happening Wednesday in La Crosse on changing the US Constitution to get big money out of politics.
La Crosse Talk airs weekdays at 6-8 a.m. Listen on the WIZM app, online here, or on 92.3 FM / 1410 AM / 106.7 FM (north of Onalaska). Find all the podcasts here or subscribe to La Crosse Talk wherever you get your podcasts.
Clements is a former Asst. State’s Attorney General, a Constitutional scholar and published author. At noon Wednesday at the Black River Beach Community Center, he’ll sit on a panel along with former Wells Fargo financial advisor Judy Nagel and UW-L political scientist Sam Scinta (RSVP here).
During the WIZM conversation, Clements talk about how the For Our Freedom amendment would help solve the big money issue, and perhaps be the domino to solve other problems in politics.
We also discuss how many states have already signed on and how close Wisconsin — after a $100 million spring state Supreme Court election — could be the next Legislature to sign on.

He is wasting his time. The Democrats have ruined Illinois and other states and now have set their sights on Wisconsin. You know what they say: Misery loves company.
The democratic governor of Illinois should worry more about his state and not anyone else’s.
The irony is that the unions they have enriched get to take their very liberal pensions and go to states like Tennessee with no state income tax to live.

Why doesn’t the democrats party lead the way and cease taking dark money and allowing the purchasing of the election by their billionaires?
Put up or shut up is my thought!

Let me guess…he has his own “non-profit” to “save democracy.”
