HorseSense hosting Kentucky Derby watch party at Charmant

Ashley Adams, the lead instructor at HorseSense in Coon Valley, in studio hyping up the Kentucky Derby watch party fundraiser they’re having Saturday, plus everything the nonprofit does for the community.

Adams talks about how HorseSense helps people with disabilities — youth and adults — as well as veterans, learn to ride horses. She tells some stories about how that goes and lets us know what kind of personalities their horses have.

As for the watch party, it goes from noon-6 p.m. at the Charmant. It’s free and there’s a 50-50 cash raffle, another bucket raffle and, of course, a Kentucky Derby staple, the mint julep cocktail to be had.
