Gearing up for Big Bikes for Little Tikes

Every year, funds raised by the annual Big Bikes for Little Tikes event help a family with a child who has spent far too many hours in hospitals dealing with medical challenges.
Dallas Gardner of Hillsboro and his family benefit from this year’s event, now in its 29th year.
The list of his medical issues is long-brittle bones disease, macrocephaly, scoliosis, and restrictive lung disease are some. Multiple surgeries are in Dallas’ past. More are in store for this 15-year-old.
Although wheelchair bound, when you look at his picture, you can see someone ready to play a video game or go fishing…or cheer on his favorite football team.
This is where Big Bikes for Little Tikes comes in.
Money from the ride on May 17 helps Dallas fulfill his wish-to travel to Texas to watch his favorite NFL team, which is, of course, the Dallas Cowboys, play the Green Bay Packers.
The Ride
Between now and May 17, you can sign up for the ride which covers a 127-mile journey through the countryside in Wisconsin and Minnesota.
