Happy Easter to the people you don’t like

As I See It

Did you get any greeting cards from friends and family for Easter?

Or did you send any yourself?

President Donald Trump gets into the spirit during major holidays.

He posted a message online saying ‘Happy Easter to all,’ but he didn’t stop there.

The president followed with comments about people he doesn’t like. Such as, in his words, “Radical Left Lunatics,” who he says have been ‘scheming’ murderers and gang members to America.

Mr. Trump also wished a Happy Easter to, quoting now, “WEAK and INEFFECTIVE judge and law enforcement” who are letting criminals in.

I don’t ever remember other presidents saying all sorts of mean things in holiday greetings to the country. I don’t recall Joe Biden doing that.

Oh, President Trump mentioned Biden, too, calling him a “highly destructive moron” and the worst president we’ve ever had. Trump once again claimed that the government “CHEATED” in the 2020 election to get Biden into office.

Trump ended the message speaking of “love, sincerity, and affection.”

This is love and affection?

I wonder if the president has ever sent any singing telegrams?

    Hey Brad,

You’ve been asked by others but have not responded. So, I’ll ask, ever so nicely———-

Who is organizing the groups with banners at Losey and State Road? Or do you think this occurred by happenstance? And if you respond with the names of the responsible party, could you identify their political leanings like the Tribune correctly identified those responsible for Rep. Pocan’s coming appearance as organized by a “left-wing group.” It will give your story much-needed dimension. Thank you.

This is a true statement – Happy Easter to those I don’t like:
God’s grace, as provided through the crucifixion and resurrection is applied to everyone. Regardless of my positive or negative thoughts towards you, you are a child of God.

His grace applies to all, without regard for deeds, whether you would want it or not, whether you believe or not, it his gift to us.

So he’s, Happy Easter – even to people I don’t like.

Trump came up with a pretty good list but I would have also sent Happy Easter greetings to the corrupt media.

Lest we forget, last year Biden/Harris poked Christians in the eye by sharing Easter Sunday with “Trans Visibility Day.”

Kevin,Walden,Roy and R Head , What do you guys think could get WIZM to run the morning program so at least a guy could listen to it? Rick’s topics are weak. There is no consistent format.Programing errors every morning.

Eric, WIZM programming is not an error, it is a feature of the station’s ownership and management. Local programming is limited to support the leftist ideology being cultivated in western Wisconsin by progressives.

I gave up on the A.M. show long ago and don’t listen to it. I also make a point of not doing business with the outfits that advertise on WIZM. So Sign Pro can advertise until the cows come home but will see none of my business.

Unfortunately Eric, I don’t think there’s anything any of us can do. Since we lost Mike Hayes, things have gone downhill. Like you, I can hardly listen anymore. The community conversation we had with Mitch Reynolds on the p.m. show was lost long ago with his resignation and the insertion of Rick Solem. Now that we have lost Mike on the morning show, WIZM has clearly decided to render the decline complete by inserting Mike’s polar opposite, a progressive Democrat into the position. The devoted listeners and active participants to the show Mike acquired over 30 years of broadcasting are leaving or have left. I for example have recently purchased a subscription for the satellite radio for my car to replace my near constant listening to WIZM. I would not mind hearing opposing viewpoints even on a regular basis if it were balanced with the viewpoints of many. But it’s not. Rick is bringing only those with progressive Democrat viewpoints with Ivan Garcia and Anthony Chergosky whose professorial leaning is clearly Democrat despite statements and suggestions that he is neutral and even covers libertarian philosophy in class. I have trouble believing that. We have lost the community conversation because Rick does not utilize and does not utilize or promote texting nor does he invite people to call into the show except only once in a while when Ivan Garcia is on, whom no one wants to talk to because Ivan will only talk over the caller and tell the caller he/she is wrong. The thing that is most painful about listening is Rick bad habit of monopolizing the conversation, the sophomoric humor that must be clarified with the statement (just kidding), and the constant interruption of his guests when they are speaking. When a guest capture my attention, I want to hear what they have to say, but Rick interrupts them mid sentence and I lose interest working so hard to hear what the guest has to say. Many have encouraged the station to hire Andy Parrish. But my grapevine tells me they are not interested and that Andy has accepted employment elsewhere. Sadly, I think most of us long time listener and participants are moving on. Even the article above written by Brad Williams is tainted with bias. As a Christian, I recognize that God’s grace applies to all. I admit Trump is inarticulate often and often misunderstood. But he was wishing happy Easter to all, even those with whom he disagrees. Brad has misunderstood Trump’s message.

Thank you LG!! Mike’s audience had great radio chemistry that you could feel . Now we get the exact opposite in a rude bully tone from Rick. When Rick took over how could WIZM let him be so mean to Mary, Eric and Bob ? He had a segment in his show at 5:45 to belittle Mary !!! Additionally making promo ads belittling Eric,Bob and Mary .
On Dec 26th the General Manager of WIZM had an ad stating that we want to take out time and GET IT RIGHT for live programing . My advice , discontinue it ! It’s that bad .

Disrespect, yes. Rick once told me to F off on the talk and text line and he refused to accept a call from me on the air to speak to Deb Suchla when she was running for school board because he (Rick) did not want to talk about my topics, which was school resource officers and standards based grading, and fiscal responsibility. I let Deb know this, but what could she do? I have never forgotten this and that is when I stopped listening and participating in the PM show unless Mike was on. And now my participation on the morning show is over as well. I asked my friend Mike if WIZM had a method to measure how many members of the public listen. The answer was “No”. So listener and participants are likely going away and no one is paying attention at the top.

LG, I too was a devoted listener of Mike Hayes. He may not have always agreed with the caller but he always showed respect. I no longer listen but have grown quite fond of my satellite radio in my car and home. Patriot station and Triumph are my go-to. I miss the community that Mike built around his listeners, such as yourself and others. Best wishes for you all.

Thanks BJ. I truly miss Mike and detest what the AM show has become. Many others agree. See the Comments under Andy Parrish’s most recent two blogs and you will see what I mean
