Colgan, president of Colgan Air Service in La Crosse, talks about why this project that’s been going on since 2019 — building and fixing up houses for veterans in La Crosse — is so important to her, being her dad was awarded a Bronze Star for his heroics in the Vietnam War and how a lot of her family has served in the military.

The Colgan clan.

Also taking part in the conversation is Kahya Fox, the executive director of Habitat for Humanity of the Greater La Crosse Region.

Colgan is one of five groups taking part in the competition, where fans can vote by donating at least $2 — with half going to the La Crosse Symphony Orchestra and the other half to each wannabe’s initiative.

The winner conducts the La Crosse Symphony Orchestra on May 3. Voting goes through April 28.

Is is actually spelt Conductor Wannabee — no quotes. It would be great to hear from all the candidates. This is a great cause.
