Picketers gather on La Crosse’s Losey Boulevard for demonstration; draws large April crowds for 2nd time

For the second time this month, crowds of demonstrators lined up at the intersection of Losey Boulevard and State Road in La Crosse on Saturday, in a protest against policies of the Trump White House.

The same intersection, at the Village Shopping Center and the former K-Mart property, also drew hundreds of people with signs and banners on April 5th, which was called the “Hands Off” protest. Again this weekend, demonstrations against the Trump administration were planned throughout the U.S.

La Crosse protesters mentioned education and transportation among their biggest concerns. Opposition to Trump programs and government budget cuts were some of the common themes expressed on the signs held up by the crowd. Demonstrators also said they felt that Republican members of Congress have been silenced, not wanting to speak out against the president even if they object to White House actions. Several signs at the demonstration specifically criticized 3rd District Republican Congressman Derrick Van Orden.

Many drivers going through the busy intersection honked their horns in support during the midday gathering.

I wrote a letter to every one of Wisconsin’s Republican congressmen and Senator Johnson urging them to stand up to Trump. We do not need representatives and senators who just always vote party lines.
Unfortunately, we will keep just getting that if we continue electing people who are slaves to their party.

Send a copy of that to Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries. It’s time to let your Democrats vote the way they please. Stop those whispered threats of retribution.

You will stand up for this but wont stand for corrupt judges in Lacrosse letting criminals go on bond. What a libtard town.

Looks like great fun and I enjoyed the costumes. Trump couldn’t ask for better publicity than from these rather unique individuals “picketing” in support of waste, fraud, corruption, failing schools, and keeping some of the worst criminal hombres on the planet in our country. The joke is on them.
These events have in the past been organized by Dem operatives from Madison and Milwaukee, I see WIZM conveniently forgot to mention who organized things on this day.

Aren’t spontaneous demonstrations so All-American? It’s all part of the Democrat Party’s 18 month targeted campaign at Congressman Derrick Van Orden. The leftist internet pipeline is plugged in with our own Ivan Garcia in his collegiate days glory. The gentry matrons of the Party are tittering along.
I’m printing up some bumper stickers to be passed out during the next one:
“Hands Off Our Wife-Beating Venezuelan Gang Member”

What were they paid? $25/hour I heard. For 2 hours (noon to 2pm). By Soros I would believe. Did they go away at 2pm (or spontaneously stay longer?) as 2pm is when the gravy train was scheduled to end?
Brad, did you report on these aspects or were they conveniently left out of your report? Maybe a follow up on these questions. Thanks.

You’re a damn fool! I was front and center at the protest and I guarantee you NOBODY is paid to protest! We were told we had to leave at 2pm! Law abiding citizens obey the law! I’m sorry you’re so ignorant and brainwashed into thinking protesters are paid! The support from residents was amazing!

I drove through the intersection and didn’t hear any cars honking their approval.

There they go again – WIZM ginning up perceived discontent with the emotional minority.
Nut jobs activate is their call. Their superpower is emotional tyranny. I experienced some of that this past weekend. The emotions of a few are so keyed up that they control the conversation by the mere threat of their fits and outbursts. It is tiresome and worn out, to the point that now it is just fun to watch their heads explode.

We all need to find out how to get paid for the next protest. Then publish pictures of the payment. The WIZM will need to acknowledge the billionaire funding the protest
