La Crosse Talk airs weekdays at 6-8 a.m. Listen on the WIZM app, online here, or on 92.3 FM / 1410 AM / 106.7 FM (north of Onalaska). Find all the podcasts here or subscribe to La Crosse Talk wherever you get your podcasts.

Began the conversation about Daylight Saving, how it affects students and if it would be bad for kids riding the bus, if we kept the clocks the way they are now, permanently.

After that, we discussed part of the recently passed $53.5 million referendum. There’s an open house from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Hogan Administration building in the district, where people can learn what the new elementary school there would look like. Attendees can also provide feedback.

Lastly, we discussed what would happen to schools if the Department of Education closed.
