Two arrested after series of retail thefts

Two people are awaiting charges after they’re arrested following a several week investigation into retail thefts in Readstown in Vernon County.

Sheriff Roy Torgerson said the investigation began nearly a month ago.

There were two incidents at one business and another at a second business both in Readstown.

On Friday, Travis James Burrow, 44, of Viola, and Treasa Maria Lohmiller, 44, of Soldiers Grove, were arrested in Viola.

Burrow was apprehended on charges of Retail Theft, Felony Bail Jumping, and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.

Lohmiller was booked for Party to the Crime of Retail Theft and Possession of Methamphetamine.

Both are held in the Vernon County Detention Center until a bail hearing next week.

Sheriff Torgerson said that a third person may be arrested based on the investigation.
