UW-La Crosse student pleads not guilty to sexual assault charges, after teenage girls visited his dorm

Testimony from a UW-La Crosse police detective was heard Thursday in a sexual assault case involving a male student at the university.

Caden Atkinson of Richland Center is facing two counts of second-degree assault, after a recent incident where he gave alcohol to underage girls, who visited his dorm room.
Campus detective Adrian Meyer said in court that the girls were as young as 14, and had reported being touched by the 19-year-old Atkinson, who pleaded not guilty.
Atkinson is said to have admitted to serving alcohol to the visiting girls.
The incident reportedly happened a little over a month ago. Another hearing in the case is scheduled on June 5.
