Bond will not be reduced for a teenage robbery suspect from Onalaska.

Ulvestad

An attorney for 17-year-old Anthony Ulvestad asked on Monday to have the bond be lowered from $5000 to just $2500, because the Ulvestad family couldn’t post the higher amount. Judge Mark Huesmann said he would not lower the bond, because of the risk that Ulvestad poses to public safety.

Ulvestad was arrested in January for allegedly trying to rob a driver at gunpoint, while that driver was sitting in a vehicle on West Avenue. He faces a total of seven criminal charges in the case, of which the most serious is attempted armed robbery. Ulvestad is expected back in court on April 4th.
