The results of Tuesday’s spring primary election in La Crosse are finalized this afternoon.

The city’s board of canvassers meets at City Hall later today to process a provisional ballot, and canvass returns of the recent election.

It’s a process to confirm that all ballots cast were counted accurately in the final results.

A provisional ballot is a vote made by a person whose eligibility can’t be confirmed at the polls on election day.

The vote will count if elections officials can confirm eligibility.

There were three local primary races in Tuesday’s Election-One for mayor, District 7 for city council, and the La Crosse School Board.

The winners from those races advance to the April 1st election.
