As I See It
Wisconsin’s spring primary, the most important election of your life?

Early voting in Wisconsin starts today for the spring primary election.
The primary what?
It probably is lost on many that there’s an election cycle happening right now that ends Feb. 18.
And while most of the talk last fall was that THAT was the most important election of your life, this one is probably just as important for city of La Crosse residents.
On the ballot is over half the city council — though only one district is currently in a primary. On the ballot, too, are seven people running for school board in this primary election.
And, of course, the four candidates for mayor will be cut down to two after Feb. 18.
Beyond that, there’s a primary statewide for school superintendent.
But, for these local elections, in trying to get to know who is running, WIZM is hosting a mayor forum at 6 p.m. Thursday with those candidates. It’s open to the public and will be held at the UW-La Crosse Student Union.
We also asked all the candidates in the city council, school board and mayor’s race a litany of questions.
Read up on that under the elections tab on the WIZM News website. And go cast your vote
