County Board to accept applicants for vacant seat serving Onalaska and Holmen
The La Crosse County Board has a seat to fill before the next board election in 2026.
Kevin Hoyer has resigned as the supervisor for District 24, after moving out of the district which represents the Onalaska-Holmen area. People who would like to serve on the board have until Friday, January 3rd to submit letters of interest to the county clerk’s office.
Candidates must be at least 18, and must either live in the district now or plan to move there. Hoyer was elected to a two-year term this past April. All 30 supervisors on the La Crosse County Board run for election during the spring in even-numbered years.

I’m sure they will pick someone who is an independent thinker who will vote his or her’s conscience and not go along to get along. Wait what am I thinking they will pick someone who supports the agenda of the people who pull the strings in the county. The county board , the law enforcement oversight committee local school boards all the same.
