Valley View Mall is “Trying,” says Barnes and Noble, as hours fluctuate with apparent power outages

La Crosse’s Barnes and Noble says the Valley View Mall is “Trying,” as the facility off Highway 16 has adjusted store hours three days in a row now with apparent electrical problems.

The mall pushed out its regular opening time by an hour Wednesday to 11 a.m. No word on what will happen for Black Friday or beyond.

The outages have little effect on some of the outer stores, such as J.C. Penney, Barnes and Noble, HuHot and Hy-Vee, which are all operating normally and at their regular hours.

“Barnes and Noble posted in Valley View social media comments, “We are OPEN Please come shop here! Not to sound desperate, but the parking lot is crap and the mall is …. Well. Trying.
But we are open and here for our community.”

The mall off Highway 16 was forced to close at 5 p.m. both Monday on Tuesday, posting those messages on its social media.

Back in August, Valley View had to shut down for nearly a week with more apparent power problems, which left much of the mall without lights and air conditioning.

Sounds like the current business that owns the mall needs to hand it over to someone that knows what they are doing & cares enough to keep lights on & business going!!

It’s the management! There is literally one manager and she is extremely incompetent
