Valley View Mall closes again with lighting trouble similar to last summer problems

La Crosse’s Valley View Mall is apparently experiencing electrical trouble again, forcing the interior to close at 5 p.m. both Monday and Tuesday.

The mall off Highway 16 has reported power outages those two days forcing early shutdowns.

The outages apparently had little effect on other stores, however.

J.C. Penney, Hy-Vee HuHot and Barnes and Noble remained up and running, while much of the main interior portion of the mall was darker than usual.

Valley View had to shut down for nearly a week back in August, when power problems left much of the mall without lights and air conditioning.
