Kate Dunnum begins reign as La Crosse’s Mrs. Oktoberfest

The new Mrs. Oktoberfest for 2024 was introduced Saturday at the Mrs. O banquet on the UW-La Crosse campus.

Kate Dunnum is the latest member of this year’s Fest Family.

That leaves just one member of royal family to be revealed.

The identity of the 2024 Festmaster will be made public Wednesday night at the Festmaster’s Ball in La Crosse, as Oktoberfest begns the following day.

Dunnum’s theme for her year as Mrs. O is “Share Your Gifts.”

She’s a coordinator of volunteer services at Mayo Clinic Heath System in La Crosse, and was previously a campaign director for the Great Rivers United Way.

Brad Williams

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
