UW-La Crosse political science professor, Dr. Anthony Chergosky, joins to discuss Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz’s rise to Kamala Harris’ running mate in less than a week’s time.

La Crosse Talk airs weekdays at 6-9 a.m. Listen on the WIZM app, online here, or on 92.3 FM / 1410 AM / 106.7 FM (north of Onalaska). Find all the podcasts here or subscribe to La Crosse Talk PM wherever you get your podcasts.

We start with how the other contender, Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, may have blown it, before getting into whether it was Walz’s policies as governor or simply vibes.

Began the interview, though, quick about Wisconsin State Fair food, as the event wraps up this weekend.

Chergosky will be in the WIZM studio Friday for La Crosse Talk PM and part of that discussion will be on the US House race between Democratic candidates Rebecca Cooke, Katrina Shankland and Eric Wilson. Voting period for that ends Aug. 13.

You forgot to mention Walz was defeated by almost 10% in his bid for a second term as congressman. His career as a politician was ended until he tagged along with Ilhan Omar to garner the Minneapolis vote. Look how that turned out…Minneapolis is in ruins.
