UPDATE: Highway 35, south of Genoa, re-opens after “critical incident”

Six hours after shutting down Highway 35, south of Genoa by the former Dairyland Power plant, due to a “critical incident,” the road has now reopened.

Vernon County Sheriff’s Office said around 7:30 p.m. the road would close for several hours because of a “critical incident.”

The sheriff’s office said more information would be available Saturday.
