The tracks have been up and running for a week, and now Highway 35 in De Soto, where a train derailed April 27, is finally reopen.

Crawford County Emergency Management stated the highway is open with flaggers. It had been closed to traffic, until an inspection could be done by the DOT.

The railroad tracks reopened, after repairs to the line were made last Saturday.

The accident site is near the bridge connecting Wisconsin to Lansing, Iowa, a few miles north of Lock and Dam No. 9 at Lynxville.
