Trane All-Abilities Park in La Crosse set to open Saturday

Published

on

Its first full season came a year ago. Saturday, Trane All-Abilities Park in La Crosse will open for year two.

The $6-million park — located at 15th and Chase streets (map) — took nearly 10 years to complete. It had a soft opening in June of 2021. The groundbreaking took place in 2018.

It’s a one-of-a-kind park for the region and fairly unique across the U.S. It features something for everyone, from kids to adults, including those with disabilities.

Among the attractions is a stage, a music area, multiple slides, a few different climbing walls, swings and a padded ground that makes it feel like you’re walking on a gymnastics floor.
