The downtown business district of La Crosse has a new medical clinic, now open for business.

On Tuesday, ViaroHealth had a ribbon cutting at its 230 Pine Street clinic (map), about a block up 3rd Street from Gundersen Health System’s downtown location.

“We’re offering a little more flexibility, hopefully easier access to get appointments more readily available,” Weber Group CEO Libby Weber said. “We accept multiple payment options in the form of insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, cash payments, and direct primary care membership.”

Weber added that the downtown clinic has been in the planning stage for the last couple of years.

The president of ViaroHealth, Teresa Pulvermacher, said the $2 million facility will offer standard and specialty health services.

“We provide full primary care,” Pulvermacher said, “but we also in our model include the alternative therapies like massage therapy, chiropractic, acupuncture, physical therapy, but most importantly we have integrated behavioral health in our model.”

ViaroHealth has eight exam rooms and other therapeutic rooms in the 6,200-square-foot office.
