Are you ready to cast your ballot?

Election day is now less than two weeks away. That makes now a good time to make sure you are ready to cast a ballot. There are many ways to do that. In person absentee voting opened yesterday and will conclude on November 6. Many people have requested absentee ballots, and we are reminded that if you requested an absentee ballot now is a good time to fill it out and return it. Those mail-in ballots not received by election day will not be counted. Not sure what is on the ballot? Just visit myvote.wi.gov to see a sample ballot. If you voted absentee, you can check the status of your returned ballot by using the ballot tracker feature of the myvote website. Still not sure who you will vote for? You can find ballot and candidate information at vote411. If you plan on voting in person, be sure to bring your photo ID. And if you haven’t yet registered to vote, you can do that by visiting you local municipal clerk’s office by November 6, or at the polls on election day. If you are in need of assistance to cast a ballot you can contact the Disability Rights Wisconsin Voter Hotline. However you plan to vote, or whoever you plan to vote for, make plans now to ensure you are ready to have your vote counted and your voice heard.
