Sen. Baldwin gets a charge out of new EV powering stations in La Crosse for electric cars

Solar power and electric cars are getting attention from US Sen. Tammy Baldwin of Wisconsin.

The Democrat came to La Crosse on Monday to learn about a solar installation and electric-vehicle charging project at a local residence.

Baldwin said she’s personally thinking about an electric vehicle herself.

“My car in Madison is a 2006 model year, and I think it’s just about time I start thinking about what comes next,” Baldwin said.

The EV charging stations seen by Baldwin are a joint project of Xcel Energy and Western Tech, along with Olson Solar Energy.

“We will see electric vehicles increase their range of miles,” Baldwin said, “but you will always have the necessity, if it has a hundred-mile range or 200-mile range, to have to have a network throughout the country, for people to be able to make practical use of them.”

Baldwin tried out one of four charging stations at a Western Tech building near Mormon Coulee Road. The chargers are available for use by customers at the nearby Cinema Theaters on Ward Avenue.

Baldwin signed off on the Inflation Reduction Act, passed this year, which offers federal tax credits for EV chargers and solar panels.

Great , Tammy, you probably have a garage so you can charge your car at night. She should spend her time driving the streets of LaCrosse and see how many cars are parked in front of houses and all the cars outside of apartment buildings. Each one needs a dedicated charging station. Of course in bad weather like snow or rain, you are not going to be putting a charger into a socket. Also., the electric battery does not have the same range in cold weather. Biden sold out to the left who think you can destroy oil and gas here and just go to wind and solar.
Biden Ann’s the left have no coherent energy plan. Of course. , Biden does not have any coherent plans for anything.
Also,. China is building coal plants as fast as possible. Germany is resorting to nuclear so their residents do not freeze to death in their own homes.
Our biased media does not want to make us aware of any of this since it hurts the narrative they think we should know.
THE MEDIA IS THE BIGGEST tHREAT TO OUR DEMOCRACY.
