LA CROSSE TALK PM: Mayor Mitch Reynolds stops by, talks street projects, new firework regs and city council items

Published

on

Mayor Mitch Reynolds dropped by the WIZM studio and spent the hour on La Crosse Talk PM.

Among the discussion was, again, the street projects that are going on now in the city, including the year-long La Crosse Street project, and the South Avenue roundabout plans.

We also hit on new firework regulations and fines in the city, with the Fourth of July on the radar, and the city’s unveiling to electric buses this week as part of a council agenda item on climate neutrality by 2050.

Lastly, we recapped No Mow May and the La Crosse School District $195 million survey on consolidation.

One disappointing thing not discussed was Reynolds has yet to do his homework and watch the show Reacher. When he does, we will will do full review.

Did anyone ask the Mayor what the end game is concerning the homeless issue in the park?
Like the insane gas prices, I have yet to find a La Crosse taxpayer who is happy with the current homeless situation with no solution to the problem despite the city throwing large amounts of money toward the issue and hiring a special coordinator.
