As I See It

Certainly, something can be done to prevent gun violence

Can we at least agree that it is unacceptable for innocent, young children to be killed by a crazed gunman? Or is even that without common ground? We are divided politically on just about everything, but in the United States of America we should not have to continue to mourn slaughter after slaughter of innocent lives. Is that the type of country we want to be? The problem of mass shootings is largely unique to America. This isn’t happening in other countries. So there must be a solution to preventing this gun violence. Something that protects the rights of law-abiding Americans to own guns, but that protects the most innocent among us. Certainly there must be some common-sense steps that can be taken so that dangerous or mentally ill people, who often show advance signs of violent and vengeful tendencies, can’t so easily kill 19 children in a matter of minutes. Our politicians have gotten us nowhere. They largely refuse to even debate any ideas to keep our streets from being flooded by guns, despite the fact that there have been 200 mass shootings in the U.S. just this year. That is more shootings than there have been days in 2020. That is unacceptable. Because if we do nothing, we’re saying we’re ok with our children being shot to death. And that doesn’t seem like much of an American value.

The Second amendment states that you have a right to bear arms. The type of arms can legally be regulated and should be regulated.
There is absolutely no reason that anyone needs an assault weapon other than the police or the military.
Assault weapons should be made illegal, states can put age restrictions on ownership of any gun with hefty fines and or prison sentences as a deterrent.
We are seeing throughout the country district and state attorney generals that will not enforce the laws they took an oath to uphold.
This practice has got to stop. These state and county attorney’s have always had some flexibility but the practice has gotten out of hand. The results can be seen in the amount of property theft and individuals being randomly killed.
We need serious people to solve these problems and unfortunately we are severely lacking in those individuals.

The 2nd amendment specifically says that the government can NOT regulate or otherwise infringe on your right to keep and bear arms.

The 2nd Amendment is to protect us from government tyranny. A well armed citizenry is a deterrent the government does not want.

These demons pretend they love children to try and disarm their political adversaries. But are fine with slaughtering thousands of babies every day at Planned Parenthood for the inhuman reasons of convenience, or to prevent poverty.
