Child abuse homicide case in Sparta moves into second week
The homicide trial of a Tomah man in a child’s death begins its second week.
Marcus Anderson is accused of causing several injuries to 3-year-old Kyson Rice, shortly before the boy died in the spring of 2019.
Anderson is on trial in Monroe County for 16 criminal charges.
The trial has been scheduled to continue the rest of this week. Jurors began hearing the case on March 29.
Anderson claimed that Rice had fallen and he struck the child while trying to give him CPR.
