Nothing like overseeing over a million boxes of Girl Scout cookies.

That’s exactly what Sally Eagan is doing — a million-plus cookies and over 700 troops.

Egan is the director of Entrepreneurial Experience for Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Badgerland Council. She’s been busy preparing, as all those troops move cookies through Badgerland in the next six weeks.

Local Girl Scout cookie sales start Saturday and run through April 10.

Girls will still be going door-to-door this year but they also have some great partnerships locally with businesses that allow troops to sell at their stores.

Supporters can use the Cookie Finder website or download the “Girl Scout Cookie Finder” App to discover where and when troops will be out.

They’re adding a brand new cookie this year. Adventurefuls are brownie-inspired cookies topped with caramel flavored crème with a hint of sea salt.

It’s not often the Girl Scouts have new flavors two years in a row. Last year brought Toast-yay, a French toast inspired delight that remains in the 2022 selection.

Cookie lovers can peruse this year’s flavor line-up and learn where to find your cookies here.

Eagan told Z93 about 75% of that cost a box of cookies stays right here locally.

“It goes for troops to pay for the program,” she said, “things that they want to do as well as the badges and the patches, the things that they’ve earned from the things that they’ve done and also for the community service projects that they do to give back to the community.”

Eagan added the funds also supports the council, to enhance their programs and Camp Ehawee here in La Crosse County.
