Gingrich comments suggest democracy unraveling

Published

on

This is what things look like when democracy unravels. When the lines are blurred, and we are no longer governed by the rule of law. Former Speaker of the House and presidential candidate Newt Gingrich is warning that members of the House Committee investigating the attack on the nation’s capital will be imprisoned when Republicans retake the House and Senate in Washington. The wolves, he says, will become the sheep. It is not clear what charges members of the committee could face for trying to hold those responsible for the violent attack on Washington and our electoral process. It isn’t clear if this is a threat, or a prediction, but Gingrich isn’t doing our democracy a favor by making these comments. He refers to the committee as a “lynch mob.” That is rich, given that an actual mob stormed the Capitol on January 6, and even built makeshift gallows for former Vice President Mike Pence. He suggests when Republicans retake power in Washington, they should create a committee to investigate the January 6 committee. How bizarre, a committee to investigate a committee. Only in Washington. Suggesting members of Congress be jailed for doing their jobs seems a bit out there, even for Newt Gingrich.

A false flag. The cops let the protesters in. The government won’t release the tapes that shows what really happened. Four people died-all Trump supporters. One of those was murdered in cold blood, and the killer wasn’t charged. The Democrats are clinging to this story cause they have no other issues.

It’s becoming clear Nancy Pelosi may have gave standdown orders to capital police for political gain and that makes her complicit in murder and treason.

Former Speaker Gingrich’s statements are truly bizarre. There is no evidence that the January 6th committee has done anything wrong or illegal. To suggest that they should be punished criminally for investigating the seditious attack on the US Capitol is supportive of anarchy and anti-democratic. There is also no evidence to support the outrageous comments above by Chip Denure and “Richard”. If people really believe in the rule of law, they should start by recognizing that the law is only as relevant as the facts to which the law is applicable. But, those “facts” need to be proven. Wild assertions do not create relevant facts.

Why won’t they release the tapes? And why are those arrested being treated so cruelly, while the BLM and Antifa rioters are treated so leniently. And Tom…there’s video of the cops helping the protesters into the building. Definite false flag carried about by the leaders of the Democrat party.
