Christmas tree pickup Jan. 4-7 in La Crosse

Published

on

The city of La Crosse will pick up Christmas trees Jan. 4-7.

The trees cannot be artificial. All ornaments, lights and other decorations need to be removed, as well as the tree bag.

Put trees on the boulevard by 7 a.m. Jan. 4 to have them picked up. It does not coincide with your weekly trash pickup schedule.

Artificial trees, along with lights and artificial wreaths, can be placed in your city-service recycling cart or dropped off at Harter’s Quick Clean-Up.

Live wreaths are not part of the city’s Christmas tree pickup, either, because they’re usually supported by wire. No other brush or yard waste will be picked up, either, with the tree collection. That will need to be taken to the La Crosse County landfill, as the Isle La Plume Yard Waste & Brush site is closed for the season.

For more info from the landfill, call 608-785-9572.
