One dead in three-vehicle Coon Valley crash

One person dead in a three-vehicle accident in Coon Valley over the weekend.

According to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office, a vehicle headed east on Highway 14 crossed the centerline and hit another vehicle around 4 p.m. Saturday.

There were four people in the vehicle that was hit, but it was the lone driver in the vehicle that crossed the centerline that was pronounced dead.

Information on the driver who was killed has not been released.

The four others were taken by ambulance to Gundersen Health System in La Crosse.

A third vehicle, also with four people, did strike the other four-occupant vehicle but nobody was hurt.
