“Alcohol appears to be a factor” in a 36-year-old Cashton resident crashing into a ditch near Hillsboro on Saturday night.

Around 11:15 p.m., the woman took a “corner too sharp” trying to turn left on County Highway F, off of Kraemer Road, according to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office report.

It also says alcohol may have played a role but does not provide any other details on whether the woman was arrested or took/passed a breathalyzer test.

She was not wearing a seatbelt. According to court records, the woman has two other seatbelt violations. Her airbag was deployed. She was treated for minor injuries.
