Garbage truck collides with farm tractor in Vernon County

A garbage truck collided with a farm tractor over the weekend in Vernon County.

A unique and scary sounding accident but everyone came out relatively fine.

It around 8:10 a.m. Friday on Shannon Road in the Town of Sterling.

The garbage truck was headed south and the tractor, north, when both went into a curve.

The garbage truck attempted to brake, but slid into the rear end of the tractor, driven by a 52-year-old.

The 59-year-old garbage truck driver had minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

Both men are from Readstown, Wis.

The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office says it is still investigating the incident.
