A 15-year-old was ejected from a vehicle in a Vernon County accident, where alcohol was a factor, according to a release from Vernon County Sheriff John Spears.

The single-car crash occurred around 3:40 a.m. Thursday on State Highway 82, near Nelson Road in the Town of Sterling, according to Spears’ report.

The boy was ejected after the vehicle overturned, the report says. He was taken to Vernon Memorial Hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.

No other people were included in the report, which points to the 15-year-old possibly being the driver.

How alcohol was a factor is unclear from the report.

It also did not specify how the accident happened or what kind of vehicle it was — just that it was the only vehicle involved, it overturned and it is still being investigated.
