La Crosse continues trends of highest gas prices in Wisconsin

La Crosse continues to have some of the highest gas prices in Wisconsin, according to the state AAA.

The agency says pump prices in La Crosse averaged $3.07 a week ago, higher than in most other large cities around the state.

Most stations in La Crosse now are around $3.19, though Woodman’s and the Kwik Trip near Dick’s Sporting Goods are almost always 10-cents cheaper.

The price hasn’t changed much in the past month, though.

The Wisconsin average of $3.02 a gallon is almost 20 cents down from the national average.

Appleton was the only major Wisconsin city last week with gas prices below $3.

A year ago, in the midst of the pandemic, prices were $2.09 a gallon.
