One dead, one injured in Jackson County incident
A man is dead, and a woman is in an Eau Claire hospital after an incident Thursday night near Black River Falls.
Sheriff’s deputies were called to a house where a man needed emergency treatment because of injuries.
The woman was also at the scene, and had injuries requiring treatment. The injured man was airlifted to Marshfield, where he died later.
The Jackson County sheriff’s office is investigating how the victims were injured, and an area surrounding the emergency scene has been closed off.
