After missing Irishfest in 2020, the crew is ready to put on a celebration this year.

Gates open at 4 p.m. Friday and the fest continues through Sunday.

Pat Stephens said this year will be special.

“We have two of the Irish consulates from Ireland that work out of Chicago that are going to be here, and address the group at the opening ceremony,” he said. “The nice thing about that is that they called us, and that means you’ve arrived.”

Stephens added that the Highland Games will return, as well as the Irish Market. He also highlighted another special event happening Saturday.

“We’ve teamed up with the Riverland Amateur Radio Group and they’re gonna put a tower up and people will be able to talk to other folks right in Ireland,” he said.

Irishfest will bring big names that tour internationally like Gaelic Storm, the Harp Twins and fiddle player Eileen Ivers.

As in years past, the festival will feature Irish food, dancing, music and fun for the whole family.

Advance tickets are cheapest online here, but can also be purchased at Festival Foods in La Crosse, Holmen and Onalaska.
