A Madison developer gets approval from a La Crosse committee, to put up dozens of new apartments for veterans and the homeless near downtown.

The community development committee is endorsing the 65-unit plan offered by Cinnaire Solutions, for a complex that would go on 4th Street near City Brewery.

Developers have brought three competing proposals for the 4th Street area to the committee this month.

Units in the Cinnaire project would range from studios to 3 bedroom apartments, with Lutheran Social Services working as a partner.
