Exceptional food, a great cause, AND quality entertainment, all in one night! Catered for Kids’ Sake is back July 14th at the Southside Festgrounds to raise money for 7 Rivers Big Brothers and Big Sisters. Executive Director, Jeff McSweeney, and Development Director, Peter Lee, joined Z93 to talk about their event and how the funds raised will be used.

Lee said the event has great food, great spirits, and great entertainment, this year, by Tom Conrad. “We’re going to have Dublin Square, Soula’s Cuisina, and Radisson Catering, it should be a great time. It’s fundraising in support of our mission and matching youth with adult mentors to help them be the best of themselves.”

McSweeney said “Big Brothers Big Sisters is the preeminent mentoring program throughout the United States, and we’re thrilled to have great office here in La Crosse with some dedicated staff that brings together adults and littles to set up long term relationships.”

If you’re unable to attend the event but still want to donate, you can do so at their website. McSweeney said, “All this money goes to professional staff that makes these relationships possible. We do extensive background checks on adults, we work with matches and then after the match is made, we support that match through interviews and making sure that they have resources to have a healthy relationship”
