La Crosse nearing 30% vaccinated from COVID-19, while cases soar in MN, compared to Wisconsin, Iowa

La Crosse County is nearing 30 percent fully vaccinated — 27.7 percent to be exact. The county is about 3.5 percent better than the statewide total.

La Crosse has seen 43.7 percent of its residents get the first shot — five percent better than the statewide percentage. The county reported no COVID-19 cases Monday and is averaging 6.7 cases a day the past week.

While Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa have drastically different numbers of COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations and deaths per day, the three states are fairly even on vaccinations.
