COVID-19: La Crosse goes 4 days in row in single digits for 1st time since early June

La Crosse County has gone four consecutive days with single-digit COVID-19 cases for the first time since June.

The state reported three cases Monday. The four single-digit case days in a row hasn’t happened since June 6-9, though there has been six times the county has had three consecutive days in single digits between then and now.

La Crosse is averaging 8.8 cases per day, throwing out the negative-44 that was reported last Wednesday as part of the state’s “data cleaning efforts.” Last week, the county averaged was 8.6 cases a day.

Vaccinations in the La Crosse hit 15.1 percent (17,781) fully inoculated, while 25.1 percent (29,579) have had at least the first shot.

Statewide, 21.6 percent have gotten at least the first shot, while 12.2 percent of Wisconsinites are fully inoculated.
