No apparent changes in the vote totals for mayor of La Crosse, after the official county canvass today.

The county clerk’s office says the results for the 10 candidates for mayor remained the same as reported just after the primary last week.

Vicki Markussen topped the field with 1560 votes, with Mitch Reynolds about 200 votes behind for second place with 1345.  Martin Gaul was the only other candidate to receive more than 1000 votes.

Markussen and Reynolds will be on the April ballot.

Seven write-in votes were cast, but they are not recorded unless votes went to someone who was registered as a write-in candidate.

The canvass board also certified the county results for state school superintendent and other races on the February 16th ballot.
