Two COVID-19 deaths reported Tuesday in the Coulee Region.

The area hadn’t had a death since there were two on Trempealeau County on Feb. 2. La Crosse County hasn’t had one since Jan. 28.

The deaths were reported in Jackson and Vernon counties.

Vernon, which now has 38 deaths, hadn’t reported one since Jan. 11. Jackson is up to 22 deaths, the last being on back-to-back days Jan. 28-29.

As far as vaccines go, state data shows 999 more residents were vaccinated. The county has seen 16,194 people get both doses — 13.7% of the population — while there has been a total of 22,536 shots (19% of the population).
