New guidance Wednesday from the Coulee COVID-19 Collaborative, as the case rate in La Crosse County is under 25 per 100,000 for the first time since September.

The collaborative said Community Strategy Level has decreased to medium status for the first time.

That means businesses can allow 75% capacity — last week it was upped to 50% — as long as masks, distancing and other measures are still adhered to.

Metrics still in the red from the collaborative include percent of daily testing met. That goal is 75% but the county is only at 52.7%; identifying contacts traced is at 73.1% but needs to be at 90%; and the positive percentage needs to be under 10% but is at 17.2%.

Contacts traced within two days is in yellow status at 72.7%. Green status would be 75%.
