What are the plans for those who hope to be La Crosse’s next mayor? We’re about to find out. 10 candidates are running to replace Tim Kabat in the La Crosse mayor’s office, and starting tonight, we are about to help you get to know them a bit better. WIZM is organizing two mayoral debates, which you can hear on air, or watch online. The first of the two debates, each featuring five of the candidates, will be recorded tonight. The second, featuring the other five candidates, will be recorded tomorrow, and you can hear them at 6pm on WIZM on February 1 and 2, two weeks before the primary election. These candidates come from varying backgrounds, and we look forward to hearing their vision for the future of the city, and to help you make an informed choice on February 16th. Also, WIZM News has sent a survey to each of the candidates asking them to tell us about their backgrounds and their plans to tackle the significant issues facing the city. You can find out their answers on the WIZM website at wizmnews.com/mayor. This is an important election for La Crosse voters, and we want to help you make an informed decision. We hope you can join us next Monday and Tuesday night, as WIZM goes in-depth with each of the candidates to find out their vision for the city’s future.
