A man was taken to the hospital after an accident along the 400-block of East Kickapoo Street in the Village of Readstown Wednesday night.

The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office said 68-year-old Gary Kalish of Viola was backing a semi with a trailer into a driveway when the trailer was hit by an eastbound vehicle around 6:38 p.m.

That driver, 75-year-old William Hutchison of Readstown, reported minor possible injuries and was transported to Vernon Memorial Hospital.

The incident remains under investigation by the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office.
