Another La Crosse County COVID-19 death, 4 hospitalized; Jackson, Fillmore report deaths

COVID-19 deaths in La Crosse, Jackson and Fillmore counties on Friday.

For La Crosse, it’s the sixth this month. December has had the most deaths from the virus at 21.

There were also another four La Crosse County residents hospitalized, bringing that total to 37 this month. There were 71 hospitalized last month.

Case wise, La Crosse added 33 more Friday, bringing the average per day the past week down to 52.4. A week ago, that average was 70.

In Jackson County, it was the second consecutive day reporting a death, 10th in the past month and and 19th overall.

All four of Fillmore County’s deaths have come in the past 18 days — three in the past six days.
