Down to 26 cases of COVID-19 in La Crosse County, as per usual lower numbers on Sunday.

It’s the lowest total since Jan. 1 (33 cases). Case numbers should come into better focus the further from the holiday weekends we get.

A better gauge of the virus is the daily average over the past seven days. In La Crosse County, that average is 69.7 cases a day. Last week, that average was 64.

Here’s a look at the state’s daily averages over the past seven days, compared to average from a week ago:

WISCONSIN

HOSPITALIZATIONS — NOW: 121, LAST WEEK: 100
