No deaths, no new hospitalizations of La Crosse residents for 1st time this week

For the first time this week, Friday saw no COVID-19 deaths or new hospitalizations of La Crosse County residents.

The county did add 48 cases, bringing the daily average to 69.7 the past week. A week ago, that average was 55.

There were no deaths in other counties, either. Here’s a look at cases, the average the past week, total and active cases, as well as current hospitalizations in surrounding counties:

Statewide, Wisconsin added 3,474 cases, 136 hospitalizations and 40 deaths. The state has gone four consecutive days with over 3,400 case, after four days under 2,450.

Minnesota added 2,387 cases, 76 hospitalizations and 48 deaths. The first two stats right in line with the daily average the past week.

Iowa added 1,574 cases, 75 hospitalizations and 59 deaths. The state continues to add over 45 and under 10 deaths every other day. That has happened 12 days now with a range between 0 deaths in a day to 69.
